Why traveling with us on a Pilgrim to India to dive into Bhakti Yoga, yoga of Devotion?
Sacred India is calling your name. You feel something inside tickling. To visit the real India, meet the real local people that live and pray there. Not as a tourist but to really immerse into the power of India.
India is a country that has been fought over, conquered, and colonized numerous times throughout its history. Despite the efforts of the Islamic world, the English Empire, and the culture of Western materialism to destroy India's culture, religion, traditions, and the inner world of its people, India has managed to retain much of what makes it unique.
As Liladhar and his wife Debbie will tell you, India has an incredible spiritual heritage that has survived for centuries. They have been studying Vedic culture and its practical foundations in detail since 2002, and in 2006 Liladhar was initiated into the Bhakti tradition. He spent 12 years as a young monk (Brahmacharya), living and traveling in the temples of southern and northern India, studying the scriptures, practicing prayers and chanting mantras, meditation, and features of religion and culture. After that, he moved to Europe, where he met his wonderful wife Debbie, who is a respected yoga teacher with over 20 years of experience.
Together, they practice meditation and prayer, raise their daughter Jeya, and work on a project on their 17 hectares of land in Portugal. They have also organized Bhakti events and yoga retreats, guiding people on their search for a yoga lifestyle.
After their last trip to northern India in 2022, where they visited the sacred area of Vrindavan, they received many letters from people wishing to travel with them. This inspired them to organize a pilgrimage to ancient sacred places in India in October 2023.
The pilgrimage will be an opportunity for people to experience the beauty and wisdom of India's spiritual heritage. India is home to various spiritual practices, faith and strength, Vedic scriptures, Ayurvedic medicine, Jyotish astrology, music, temples, traditions, and relationship culture. The pilgrimage will take participants to some of the most ancient and sacred places in India, where they will be able to experience the country's rich cultural heritage firsthand.
As Liladhar and Debbie will tell you, India has much to offer those who seek to connect with their inner selves and explore the mysteries of the universe. Despite its tumultuous history, India has managed to preserve a wealth of knowledge and wisdom that is still relevant today. Through this pilgrimage, Liladhar and Debbie hope to share this ancient wisdom with others and inspire them to embrace the beauty and richness of India's spiritual heritage.
